Water-Gen GEN-150G System Participates in AEWE Spiral G Experiment

Mistral, Inc. and Water-Gen partnered up with TARDEC, DRS TEM, and Ultralife Corp. to participate at the AEWE Spiral G Experiment at Fort Benning in order to support soldier electrical power and drinking water needs with an expeditionary support vehicle concept. The Essential Services Vehicle, or ESV, provided electrical power for lighting, power outlets, and ECUs, generated and dispensed cool drinking water, and provided cellular and tactical battery charging -  three critical capabilities in an expeditionary environment. The ESV supported the FOB 24 hours of the day 4 days a week for 3 weeks, while the soldiers lived in the FOB.
Designed to produce over 40 gallons of drinking water from the air per day, the GEN-150G successfully produced cold, safe, clean and good-tasting drinking water for the soldiers while in the FOB. Drinking water was available on-demand to the soldiers via two dispensing taps serving ambient and cold drinking water.
According to a presentation after the 3-week event, it was stated that the Essential Services Vehicle with the GEN-150G water generation system was one of the two top technologies that the soldiers raved about during the experiment. Soldiers indicated the taste and temperature of the drinking water were very favorable. Soldiers especially liked the system’s ability to dispense cool water in warm operating environments.
